Hi, my name is Alana and I've been a middle school teacher for 7 years. I have spent my whole time taking care of people and animals. My love and passion for animals began when I started to ride and take care of horses at the age of 6. I learned responsibility, empathy, work ethic, and compassion. Ever since then, I have taken every opportunity to rescue and provide a safe, loving space for any animal in need. I've provided care for everything from horses to hedgehogs. My career as a middle school teacher has led to expertise including knowledge in a variety of animal behaviors, patience and empathy, communication and problem-solving skills, time management and organization, flexibility trustworthiness, and reliability. I am looking to make extra money so I do not have to tutor students after teaching all day. Thank you for entrusting me with the car of your family members.

Alana is the epitome of an animal lover. She loves and cares for all animals with the most genuine heart. She's always doing her best to help any animal in need. Her social media is filled with posts of lost pets, adoption events, shared posts from Animal Control - if it has to do with helping an animal, she's all over it. I have a pup myself, and Alana was always first on my list if I needed someone to go let her out to potty, or give her snacks, or just go over and let her play for a little while! (I only say 'was' because we no longer live in the same state - but I bet she'd travel many a mile to watch my pup if I asked!) ;) Alana loves animals unconditionally; I never worried knowing my pup was in her care.

Just like people, pets require attention to their physical, emotional, and social needs. I provide a safe and comfortable environment, give plenty of love and attention, establish a routine, provide exercise and mental stimulation, provide safe and proper socialization and of course, emergency care if needed. My house is located on a culdesac in a quiet, safe community on the island. I have a private fenced-in yard with plenty of room to run. My neighbors are all animal lovers and are always active in the street and neighborhood. I pride myself on how well I take care of my animals and would love to do the same for your animals.

Let me know if you pet has any behavior triggers and or food consumption preferences. How soon after eating does she/he need to potty? Any tricks you use to get them to potty or eat? Of course, any other limitations I would need to know about. I am willing to do anything that will provide less anxiety for your pet.
A typical day
I love being outside when the weather is appropriate, so I feel it is only fair for the pets to enjoy the outside as well. We can play with toys and enjoy zoomzies around the yard. We can practice tricks, go for a walk and explore, take lots of pictures, and of course all the love hugs they want.

Availability
I'm currently a middle school teacher in Savannah, so my regular work schedule is 7:00am-4:00pm, but can help with any of your needs after 4 p.m. or on holidays. I live locally and can help with your weekend needs at any time as well. Even if it is on short notice.
