For the last two years, we (Rosa and Alan) have raised our own pup, Kopi. She’s a very social and affectionate 1.5 year-old sheepadoodle. Prior to that, we regularly sat for our friends’ puppy for multiple years. We also have many friends with dogs of all ages (from puppy to senior) and breeds that we and Kopi regularly play with. In addition to our experience training, bathing, feeding, walking, we also have a great setup for hosting your pup. In 2022, we moved into a spacious apartment by Brooklyn Bridge Park, and have had great success hosting doggy playdates. Our close proximity to the local dog park (generally a very well behaved crowd) and Brooklyn Bridge Park walking paths allows for games of fetch and/or nice long walks, should you and your pup be interested. Finally, we think it’s really important that your pup feels comfortable in our space and with Kopi so we recommend a meet and greet / short trial run with the pup and their human before we decide on anything. And you'll always have two pairs of eyes on your pup during their stay with us. We both work from home so can spend plenty of time watching and playing with your pup (although Kopi will certainly be leading the socialization). We typically take Kopi out 3 times a day: morning (walk), late afternoon (dog park/playdate), and night (short walk). We have found that to work best for her schedule but we can be flexible and accommodate your pup's schedule as well. Luckily, our location means very easy access to both the dog park and long walking paths. A safe, comfortable, and fun environment for your pup is of greatest importance. Our pup is extremely friendly, non-territorial, and welcomes new friends with open paws. Our apartment has a nice open space for puppy frolics and zoomies. In addition, the dog park and Brooklyn Bridge Park walking paths are also very accessible for us. We do not crate Kopi at night but are happy to do whatever works for your pup. Lastly, just in case it needed to be said, we will never leave your pup home alone.
