I am a Pre-Veterinary Animal Science student at Middle Tennessee State University. I have worked at Lawrenceburg Animal Hospital as the Kennel Technician and Veterinary Assistant for over two years. I have experience with dogs and cats, as well as special needs and senior pets. I grew up on a livestock farm working with all types of large and small livestock including cattle and poultry. I have experience handling and caring for reptiles, exotics, dogs of all sizes, and cats. I can administer oral medication for both dogs and cats, change bandages, apply wound care for pets who have recently undergone surgery, and can also give injections as needed for pets who require them such as insulin. I also have experience bathing dogs of all sizes, and can offer nail trims for all dog breeds and types. I am a college student at MTSU, and I also work part-time at Lawrenceburg Animal Hospital. As my school schedule changes, my availability will be subject to change. My schedule is flexible, and I can travel to and from clients in the Lawrence County area. I am able to provide runs and walks in Lawrenceburg, TN around town, at the local dog park, and in the local state park. I can also offer doggy day care where dogs can spend the day with me at the local dog park or at my home. I have toys and treats to cater to dogs of all sizes - as well as puppies and senior dogs. I have a crate that travels with me in my vehicle with a padded mat for pets who prefer to travel inside a crate during car rides. I have a Scottish Terrier and a Siberian Husky, as well as two indoor cats, that live in the home with me. The Scottie is over 10 years old and receives daily medication. The Husky around a year old, and he is very active. If suitable, he can spend the day playing with other pets at home or at the dog park. I'm available for boarding on the weekends, and my schedule is flexible enough to accommodate drop-ins or other services during the week. I am available for house sitting in the Lawrenceburg area and would consider house sitting outside of the immediate Lawrenceburg area on a case by case basis. I work part time and am a college student so my schedule changes but I am as flexible as possible. Pets that stay in my own home can either sleep in the bed with me or can be crated. If during the work week, I take dogs with me to my job at the local veterinary clinic. On my off days, we either go to the dog park or play at home in my own yard. I stick to your pet's routine when I am doing a house sitting stay, and I try to be as accommodating as possible. I prefer written instructions if possible to make sure I provide exactly the care you are looking for during a stay!
