ABOUT ME My love for animals started at a young age on my family's farm in Illinois, where I cared for everything from horses and large dogs to kittens, chickens, geckos, and guinea pigs...the list could go on and on! I recently graduated from my undergraduate program and relocated to Atlanta for work, leaving me without a pet for the first time in my life. After my family used Rover for our two dogs back home, Odie & Winston, I realized the absence of animals in my new life down South could be filled with petsitting on Rover. :) EXPERIENCE I am a highly attentive, detail-oriented person with extensive experience when it comes to walking, feeding, bathing, and administering medicine to pets of all sizes and ages. Though I'm not a professional, friends jokingly call me a dog whisperer, so I'd love to help with training too, if you'd like. Outside of my own pets, my background comes from volunteering at animal shelters, my foster experience, and petsitting opportunities I've pursued with neighbors & coworkers over the years. For ~6 months, I volunteered in the E.R. and I.C.U. at the Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, where I worked late nights with veterinary students and professors in high-pressure situations. During this time, I also took a first aid/CPR class for household pets. Though I have an extensive history of pet care, I ask to be made aware of any sensitivities your pet may have (i.e. if your dog dislikes other animals or shows aggression with food), so I can keep them comfortable and ensure my safety. I have experience with pets ranging from tiny, needy kittens to old lady Rottweilers (my old dog, Zoey) and I personally know the worry that can come with ensuring older pets with increased needs are properly cared for. I would love to use my extensive background and attentive nature to make your pets feel comfortable & cared for, so you can feel stress-free while you're away for a relaxing night or weekend vacation.
