I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. I grew up with multiple dogs, both large and small. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and take care of them. Though I have never owned a cat, my roommates from college owned a few. I often took care of my roommate’s cats when they were out of town.

My dog, Winston, loved his weekend with Akaisha! She was very respectful of my home and communicative. I enjoyed and appreciated all the videos/pictures she took of Winston during their stay. He was a very happy boy and looks forward to their next time together!
Akaisha was amazing! She took such great care of my older & sometimes finicky dog Walter. From her pre-visit to make sure it was a good fit & all the good questions she asked about his needs put me at ease. Plus, her texts & videos of Walter during my trip made feel so glad that he was doing great & being his normal self with her (& maybe acting even better with her!) that I could enjoy my trip knowing he was in such excellent care. Plus she left my house just as tidy as I left it which was so nice of her. Akaisha is the best & I’ll let her sit Walter any time!
SO fantastic!!! Our dogs were in GREAT hands. Akaisha is meticulous, responsible, and very communicative. Did great with our dog-aggressive dog. The higher price than other sitters felt very justified. Would definitely entrust our pups to her again!
Akaisha is not only a phenomenal dog sitter but also an amazing house sitter!! She is extremely communicative, respectful, responsible and kind. Both our dog judy and our home were extremely well taken care of. Can’t wait to book with Akaisha again!!

I do not have a pet! However, I know what it takes to nurture animals well because of my lengthy experience. I am a professional, so I will ask to interview you and your pet immediately upon requests for my services (within 3 days ideally). I ask questions that will provide me with all of the information I need to take care of your pet well. I will take videos and pictures to send to you throughout the day. In addition to taking care of your pet, I will engage with your pet, playing mental stimulation games and not simply being in their company (however if your dog simply enjoys being left alone throughout the day, then I will leave them be).

Please be sure to share any unique qualities or behaviors (especially breed specific) about your pet! For example, if your dog is afraid of thunder, likes the blinds open to bark at people or dogs that walk by to entertain themselves throughout the day, will lose all focus if they spot a squirrel, or that I may need to pick them up and cover their eyes to prevent a meltdown from seeing other dogs, lol things like that would be useful to know!
A typical day
I love playing with dogs/cats! If you have a special toy(s) that I can use, I would love that. I’m very active and love to get outside often, so having your dog(s) be with me would be great! Please be sure to inform me of parks nearby or beautiful green spaces so that I can plan to take your dog(s).

I have a hybrid job, so I am out of the house Mondays, Fridays, and every other Thursday. If I am able to leave your pet unattended for approximately 4 hours at a time, then I should be a great match for your pet care needs!
