Pet care experience
I’ve always had a big spot in my heart for animal companions, and can’t wait to bring some new furry friends into my life. I grew up with a rescue dog and have sat all types of dogs and cats, so I know how much love pets need to feel right at home. I have extensive experience from everything to massive Mastiffs and Malamutes to teeny tiny puppies and kittens and have a ton of love for all of them. I don’t have a pup or cat of my own at the moment, so your pooch will have my undivided attention!

Ajna puts more energy into her work with dogs than anyone I've ever seen! As a friend and running partner, I get to see her in action and she really goes the extra mile to try and develop a relationship with the dogs she works with that goes beyond the street, sidewalk, and trail. Dogs respect her because she respects them. This kind of reporte building allows her to have fun with the dogs while simultaneously ensuring safety and responsible care remain her top priority. Finally, Ajna is full of energy and loves to run! And will bring that energy to every aspect of her work with your dog, always ready to give her all to ensure your pet gets whatever kind of experience they need.
Ajna has been running with our 100+ lb. Malamute for over a year now. She is a strong runner and is able to give Luna a thorough workout. Ajna is dependable and flexible and well able to handle our lovable but challenging girl, who loves Ajna and can barely contain herself when she arrives. I highly recommend Ajna's capability to handle dogs of all sizes.

My main priority is making sure that both pups and owners are well taken care of during a stay. For owners, I’m always happy to send daily text updates (with pictures, of course!) on what we’ve done together during the day and the kind of activities that we’ve been getting into. I am likewise always accommodating to requests that owners have for the stay. No matter what, I’m happy to meet your pup at their level.
Information Ajna W. would like to know about your pet
I know that it can be a little scary at first for a pup to get used to a new environment. I’m always happy to schedule a meet-and-greet before the actual stay in order to make sure that the transition is as smooth as possible. Once we do that and everything is a good fit, I always want to know ahead of time if there’s any special health needs that need to be attended to. Whether that be dietary restrictions, medicine that needs to be administered, or behavior triggers, no amount of attention is too much for me. I also like to know if your pooch has any kind of regimen or schedule that they like to stick to, such as morning or evening walks, regular meal times, or reserved times for activities. Finally, I always love learning how I can spoil your pup the best, so I’m all ears for any tips!
A typical day
I love to get out into the great outdoors and go for walks and hikes at every possible opportunity. Portland is beautiful city, so tons of exploration is a fixture of every stay. I love to walk around a hike, and make a point of getting outside and seeing something new and beautiful every day. I can’t wait to have your pup alongside me as my co-pilot! I’m happy to take your pup to their favorite spots and will have a few of my own to hit up, where your pup will get some good sniffs and sights in. My daily schedule is flexible enough to meet your pooch’s individual needs, whether that be getting out more frequently or double cuddle duty.

Availability
I currently have a very flexible work schedule that allows me plenty of freedom to be at home as often as I need to be. I am an active person and love to be outdoors, so we’ll be able to have a great time exploring around outside and burning off some energy together. Getting plenty of exercise in is a great way to make sure that your pup is having a great time while you’re away. There are plenty of parks and trails nearby, so we’ll both be able to explore and meet some new friends along the way. I also spend a lot of time reading and writing, which is ideal for having a new cuddle-buddy for.
