Pet care experience
I have been a dog lover since I was a pup myself, a sitter and walker for many years as an adult and two years ago (finally) became an owner of my own baby girl. Becoming a Dog-Dad changed me furever, and may have taught me more about patience, instinct, habit and a healthy outlook on life than all my human relationships combined!

You will not find a better Rover than AJ. He was so great with Avery and so wonderful in keeping me updated and sharing pics/videos when I asked. He truly loves dogs and it reflects in his care. I know Avery already misses him and can’t wait for him to be back!

AJ WAS WONDERFUL!! I have been hoping to find someone that I feel comfortable with and I am so glad we found AJ. He is exceptional and trustworthy. It was obvious from the first few minutes of our meet and greet that he really loves animals and dogs. We met his beautiful pup Maddy and she was great with our Gemma. AJ was so amazing with our Gemma and I felt ? having her in is care on their first walk. He took photos, made sure she had water and gave her lots of love. I am sure of this because it was our first time letting our girl go without us and she came back just happy and playful.

I live alone with my dog, and have a fenced in/gated back patio with squirrels and birds to watch all day long! My building has a small dog park of it's own on site, and I am a short 8 min drive to a large public dog park. I respect other people's spaces and privacy, and would leave your home the way you left it, clean and with a happy pup waiting for ya!

Like us, every dog is different. Some have quirks. Some have special needs. And let's face it...some have "issues." But all of them deserve the best love and care possible. Help me provide that by giving me some insight into what I should know about your baby: Does he/she play well with other dogs? Any aggression issues to be aware of? Any food allergies or special diets? Do you allow healthy treats? Is he/she housebroken? How often do they need to go out? Is there anything else you think I need to know or watch out for? (Example: My dog does pretty well on leash...unless there's a squirrel present and then she'll pull full steam ahead...so I'm extra cautious when walking in nature!)
A typical day
Truth bomb: Being around dogs is a form of mental health for me! It makes me happy, and I like to offer the same to them. But being comfortable is key there - so if your dog enjoys walks in your own neighborhood, we'll do it. If you're okay with a visit to a public dog park and he/she plays nicely with others, I'm all for that too! I live near Memorial Park in Hendersonville, and love taking others there for some nature or play.

Availability
I work remotely from home, and can be available most of the time with very short notice. You can also find me at a local dog park almost every day for 2/3 hours at a time. My own dog loves socializing there, and it's now become a standing appointment for me. (It's even on my work calendar as Out of Office: "Maddie & Daddy Time!")
