I make sure to put an animal’s health and comfort first whenever I’m with them. Besides obvious needs like food/water/bathroom breaks, I will always be able to play with them or simply sit in the same room for company if they’re not too social. As for walks, I will be willing to go for walks or jogs with dogs to keep them active, as well as go to the park near me, or anything recommended nearby if staying in your home. I have no garden myself, but I live a one minute walk away from a large park, so outside time while pet sitting in my own home would be no problem at all. Please note if boarding with me, my house does have stairs, and there are stairs on the way to the park as well, so unable-to-carry dogs (large/heavy) that are uncomfortable with climbing stairs might not be a good fit in my home unfortunately! All in all, I will gauge an animal’s attitude and personality and work with that to make sure they’re as happy as possible in my care!
