I grew up in a HUGE animal loving household. We had pets from fish & hamsters to dogs & cats to crows & ducks! Pets are part of the human family and deserve just as much love & attention as the next of kin. Throughout my teenage years, I also helped care for the dogs and cats we had at the time. This included walking, feeding, bathing, cleaning the litter box, picking up after the dogs, etc. But most importantly, of course, giving them all the love :) For the last 10 years I have been taking care of my ("first") pet cat -- a beautiful Tuxedo that I found under a car when she was 2 months. It has been nothing, but a great experience with her. She's my babygirl! Throughout the years I have also cared for friends' dogs and cats as needed (i.e., house/pet sitting, walking, etc). Aside from my experience, I am definitely an outdoors person. I love riding my bike around the city, especially the Schuylkill. So me and your pup will definitely have a great time at the dog park! For over 14 years, I have worked with children of all ages and various needs. My main experience has been in the Special Education and Behavior Health fields. The skills I have obtained over the years -- patience (a lot of it!) & flexibility -- are generalized in my day to day activity. These are great assets to taking care of pets, especially if they have higher needs than others. Lastly, I am fluent in Sign Language and conversational in American Sign Language (ASL). So if you or someone you know is Deaf, then communication access is definitely guaranteed.
