Pet care experience
I’ve worked at a doggy daycare/boarding facility and in a shelter setting caring for animals, cleaning their kennel areas, administering oral medications and sticking to a feeding schedule. I’ve walked dogs of all ages and sizes in the shelter I worked at, using harnesses, collars, head halters, etc. I am currently working towards my positive reinforcement dog training certification through Animal Behavior College.

Aimee is great with my semi-reactive dog. She works with him, prioritizes his safety, and gives me pointers on how to keep up his progress when I walk him. She cares deeply for my dogs and does an excellent job!

Aimee was so great with Blue and I could tell by the pictures he was super happy with her. She took great care of him and got him a little exercising that he needed while I was away all day. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

I am a positive reinforcement dog trainer and use fear free and force free methods for handling, training, etc. I prefer to use these methods for your dog if they’re in training and prefer not to use any of the following training tools: prong collar, e-collar, choke chain. I can easily crate dogs if needed, safely walk them on leash through neighborhoods or take them to their favorite park/trail. I have dog seatbelts in my car for transportation and am happy to use a crate in the car for transportation if provided by the client. I will keep your pets company in your home by playing with them, cuddling them (if desired by your pet) and ensuring their safety while in your yard (if applicable) and while in my care.

Please let me know anything and everything about your pets; including fear of new people, sounds, places, cars, etc., if dogs have any reactivity towards other dogs, people, trucks, etc., if your pets have any specific handling sensitivities (don’t like to be picked up, afraid/avoidant of harness/collar going over their head, etc.) please tell me everything I need to know about your pet so I can give them the best quality care and ensure they are as comfortable with me as possible. Would also like to know of any allergies and training/basic obedience cues dogs know.
A typical day
I enjoy watching dogs be themselves in nature and engage in mentally stimulating food puzzles/enrichment activities. I will play your dogs favorite game, take them on sniffy walks, give them enrichment items to play with. I will ensure cats enjoy mental enrichment and fun puzzle food toys, interactive playtime and snuggles.

Availability
I’m located in Kearns, UT but serve most of the Salt Lake County area. I am open for pet care Friday-Sunday, any time during the mornings, middays and evenings. I am willing to walk dogs in the evenings after 7pm during the spring and summer and fall, and can do drop in visits on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after 7pm. I work a part time job Monday-Thursday in Lindon, UT 8:30am-5pm; I leave for work at 7:45am and get back from work around 6pm. This may affect house sitting start times if booking with me Monday-Thursday.
