I'm a dog lover who's travelling the UK and beyond with dog sitting! This all started when I jumped Rover in 2017 while living in Barcelona - desperate for a dog but without a fixed base and knowing I'd be on the move again, I decided that it was best to get my fix looking after other pups. It set the ball rolling and to date I've had a brilliant run looking nearly 50 dogs. A real mix of dogs with this, from the small pups to the big yins. At the end of 2019, I joined Trusted House Sitters looked after dogs in New York, Paris, Berlin, Bristol, London, Glasgow, Brighton, North Berwick, The Hague, Sheffield, Norwich, Cardiff, Madrid. I can send references/reviews from any of these sits. Current base in Edinburgh is Newhaven. I'm occasionally home between sits elsewhere, but this year's busy with bookings until mid August and a lot of those being away from home. I've also worked in two dog shelters, one in Myanmar and the other in Sri Lanka. In Sri Lanka I was living with 500 dogs, deep in the jungle for 10 days. A good night's sleep was impossible but having 500 furry guys at your doorstep was just fantastic. Bonds were made, tears were spilled. Our flat is small!, on the first floor. They're welcome to sleep in the bedroom, on couches, and can be kept in the kitchen overnight if that's your preference. Easily as I work from home. I'm very flexible in that regard. I'm active and enjoy walks as much as the dog does, I'm sure. As though they are my own. After doing this for five years I quickly take on board the needs of the dog and adapt to those. Very easily as I work from home and decide my own schedule, more or less. Brilliant to take a break and get outside with a dog giving the walk a purpose. My base here is a small flat and is opposite Victoria Park which is ideal. Cosy wee spot to bring your dogs into whenever needed.
