Dogs and Cats are bundle of love...

Pet care experience

Hi I am Dewey, and as Aga's dog,I decided to tell you a little bit about her. She and her family adopted me 8 years ago when Hammy the Hamster died due to cancer.I would like to mention here that Aga helped Hammy with feeding and cleaning in the last 2 months of his life. I was not quite myself at first, and Aga, her husband Dariusz and son James took me to Petco Dog trainer Erick, who showed them how to deal with my aggressiveness toward people and other dogs. Aga did not give up on me and it took 6 months for me to settle down and be a good dog. I know it is a long time but Aga says it was worth it considering that I had had a very difficult past and was on the "to be killed" list in the animal shelter I was staying at. At the shelter they washed me with the water hose and since then I hate taking a bath but I allow Aga to wash me sometimes and I don't run.. I like that fresh dog smell afterwards... She does a good job and I get a good treat afterwards...so it pays off. I am very sensitive about anyone touching my paws but Aga and my family are allowed to touch me..as they earned my trust while being patient with me and helping me multiple times. I have 2 beds in the house, one upstairs and one downstairs but I like to sneak into my family bed when everyone is out and busy during the day..they say I am family member or the second son or a little brother so I guess I am entitled :) Our neighbors ask Aga sometimes to watch over their pets and houses when they are travelling. So she took care of the 2 years old Filemon the cat by visiting him every day for an hour (within 2 weeks), feeding him and sitting and talking to him. She did the same to 8 yrs old Penny ( the cat lady ) for a month. For 2 years Aga walked me together with my friend female Boxer Mia, who became my girlfriend, but unfortunately had to move to Germany. I miss her but she will be back next year...Aga used to take me for long walks but due to my age ( 10 -11), I like them now shorter and during the day light. Unfortunately I am loosing my sight and I don't like to go out at night or when it is raining. I hate thunderstorms but Aga knows how to convince me to go pee outside even when it is raining. She is very consistent but gentle with me and knows how to talk to me.Sometimes,I wonder how she does it ...I love her. Though I am a loner and I pick my own time to get my belly rubbed or my ears scratched and she is always there for me... She told me that when she was a kid, her family kept adopting dogs from shelters and she used to take care of them by walking, feeding etc. She had her first dog when she was 2 years old and it was a German Shepard and her name was Saba.. I trust her and I know that your four legged family member will be safe and happy in her company ... Just like I am ... best regards. Dewey

Aga is the person with a BIG heart. Everything she does she puts heart in it. She was watching my cat Filemon couple times while we were gone. She was always on time, I was updated with pictures and how my pet is doing on the daily bases. Filemon loves her. She is very responsible and loving person.

Aga is a real dog person. She has grown up taking care of a few of them. She is attentive, observant and intuitive. She is the one person in the room the dog of the household she visits comes and clings to. She always greets and shares a nice remark about other dogs she encounters when on the walk with her own precious dog Dewey. Her love for dogs doesn't dim her duly duties. If the health issue arises, she can be strict to adhere to the treatment regiment. The well being and comfort of the dog is the ultimate priority. There is a saying the dog always recognizes a good human. I have always believed the way we relate to the animals is what makes us humans. Aga treats dogs as friends, yet she appreciates them being dogs. She respects them, and at the same time understands we truly complement each other's lives. Aga is a great human!

Aga is my neighbor, and as such she took care for my cat Penny several times when I traveled. I chose Aga, because I knew she can be trusted to visit Penny as scheduled, feed her as asked, and make sure the litter is clean. Penny was domesticated stray, and sometimes, with strangers, she was showing her independent character (and claws). Never with Aga. Aga is peaceful and relaxed person, and pets instinctively respond to her with trust and calmness. In addition, I learned that although I was not asking or expecting more care for my cat than necessary, Aga took initiative to hang with Penny whenever she had time – just to keep her company. Needles to say, Penny adored Aga, and I was confident that my cat is cared for in my absence very well. I also observed how Aga groomed her own dog Dewy. Dewy was adopted as a mature dog, and initially was sometimes moody, with a bit unpredictable, almost aggressive, moments. Aga’s calmness, patience, steady training and regular long walks I saw they took, turned Dewy in no time into trusting, happy and well-trained companion, that is always joy and pleasure to hang with. In my opinion Aga is great, trustworthy person, who loves animals, knows how to handle them and can be the best dog / cat sitter one can ask for. Margaret C.

What are the triggers that will make your dog scared or unhappy ( bikers, big dogs, bundled up people, sirens, other specific dogs in neighborhood, thunderstorms, rain or UPS trucks :) or any other trauma experienced in the past. How does he/she behave when you are gone? What is his/her favorite activity/game, favorite snacks and scratch spots :) ,favorite places to visit and go to, does the dog take time to sniff all the spots or just likes to run. What are the commends he/she understands and responds to ( also in foreign languages). Does she/he like to play with other dogs ? is it a rescue dog? Any special diets should be applied to his/her daily routine. Where does he/she like to sleep or rest?
