I’ve cared for healthy 2 year old dogs that love going on runs, an aging cat, and a sick Maltese. So I’m comfortable adjusting to whatever pets need.

Aelita was amazing with our two dogs! We have a puppy and an adult rescue with polar opposite personalities. They can be tricky to handle together, but they were in great hands with Aelita. She took the time to get to know them and played with them after their walk. .
Aelita truly went above and beyond taking care of our cats! She was in great communication the entire time we were away, sending sweet photos of our cats and updates about their goofy behaviors. They clearly loved Aelita and didn’t show any of their usual shyness around new people. She took such great care of our cats and our apartment while we were away. We (and our cats) can’t wait to have Aelita take care of them again!
Aelita has been fantastic and amazing taking care of our special sweet boy Charlie. She easily gave him his oral meds, and she regularly sent us fun and reassuring photos and notes. I give her 6 stars out of 5! I highly recommend that you entrust your dog with her. We will definitely ask for her wonderful caring loving service again. Thanks, Aelita!
Aelita it’s a wonderful caregiver! She is extremely affectionate, kind, and patient with dogs. She adores my dog as if he were her own and am never nervous or anxious when my pup is in her care. She is familiar with a number of different dog breeds and sizes and gives each dog proper care and attention. I have zero hesitations recommending Aelita as a dog sitter!

I grew up with a cat who loved her space and only wanted attention on her terms, so I’m very used to taking cues from pets regarding how they want to interact. (Eventually my sister got a Maltese and I learned to ALWAYS be giving love and attention.) and since then I’ve sat for shibas, corgis, Pomeranians, and every breed in between. It’s important for me that I create a comfortable space where they can feel at home, that I provide lots of love and attention, AND that I respect any boundaries or discomfort areas they might have.
Information Aelita P. would like to know about your pet
I always ask about information regarding diet (how much of their food per feeding time, how many feeding times, are treats in between ok? Anything they especially love?) I also like to know if they have any triggers (loud noises, etc), how they do with other dogs, how they do with strangers. I ask a lot of questions because I want to make sure your pup has a fun (and safe!) time!
A typical day
I live right next to Central Park so I love going on runs with dogs, playing catch or chase on the green spaces, socializing them during doggy hours in the morning, or just sitting and picnicking outside. I also often go to the dog park on riverside! I always feel sad leaving dogs at home so my preference is to eat at home when I’m boarding or to do outdoor dining where I can bring a pet.

Availability
I’m an MFA student and writer and a lot of my time is spent working independently. So I love having company during the day and for my daily walks! (I also love the excuse to go outside three times a day, since otherwise—as an introvert— I definitely won’t 😶). I’m up for running around the park with your pup or hanging out and reading with your cat (or your cat-like dog!) regardless, I love having a furry friend for company!
