I work from home, which is great for dog sitting as I can keep an eye on the pups during the day, and take frequent breaks outside. We live along a footpath, so we can go for a nice long morning stroll without worrying about crossing busy roads. I often take Katie out for a run or long walk at lunchtime and then she likes to sneak in an afternoon nap. In the evenings, I love to throw a ball with her in the grassy area out back, unfenced so I keep her on a long line. Growing up with pets, I've always loved furry creatures! After college, I lived in housing that didn't allow pets, so I got my "fix" by volunteering at the local SPCA which was a great experience working with many types of dogs. Two years ago I adopted a retriever mix named Katie. If you spend any time on the trails around Northern Virginia you've probably bumped into us. Katie is my best running buddy.
