Pet care experience
The basics about me: * I am the Executive Director of Nomad Pet Fostering, and have completed many hours of continuing education about the animal welfare industry * I spent 6 years volunteering at Auburn Valley Humane Society as a dog walker and cat carer * I trained one of my dogs to be a therapy dog, and together we visited hospitals and libraries as a registered Pet Partners team * I have had pets for my entire life, and am happiest when I am with animals * I am a professor at Green River College Want to know more? Currently I have 3 rescue dogs. The first (my therapy partner), Hooke, was adopted just after he had a leg removed; he is high energy and has separation anxiety. The second, Ada, was adopted with several behavior problems (food aggression, house soiling, seemingly random dog-dog aggression); I learned a lot while working those issues out with her. She is now well behaved, totally house broken, and I know what her aggression triggers are and can manage them. The third dog, Malcolm, was severely shut down when I adopted him. He was extremely anxious, afraid of any sudden movements, and did not know how to play. It took over a year of continuously gentle training, but he is now very relaxed, very affectionate, and extremely playful. All of my dogs attended basic obedience classes, and if I felt a particular method was not right for them I used an alternative practice. Every dog I've had is different, and I consider the overall effect of any training method before I use it. In the past I have had several cats. One of them, Neutrino, had extreme aggression toward strangers if I was not present, and was very protective of me. I had to learn how to prepare pet sitters for this when I would be away, and figure out alternatives whenever possible.
Reviews
Adrienne is the most reliable person I have ever known. Her deep love and extensive knowledge of animals leads her to be the best pet sitter. She is so caring of her dogs and her cats, not just looking out for their physical health, but also their ultimate happiness and comfort. She will walk a dog in the pouring rain, drive without a second thought for hours to get care for them and spend more money on their allergy medicine than one her dinners for a week. As Tina said, she’s Simply the Best.
Adrienne has a love of animals that is hard to match! She takes amazing care of her dogs, she has volunteered for several animal care organizations in the past, and now runs her own organization dedicated to keeping pets and owners together during difficult times. I don't currently have pets of my own, but if I did, Adrienne would be the absolute first person I'd call to look after them. I highly recommend her.
Adrienne was so accommodating to our needs and concerns the first time we had left our puppy with someone new. She was very attentive and took great care of her. We will definitely use her again!
Adrienne was friendly caring outgoing and trustworthy -She did everything I asked her to do for my little dog. She provided the services I paid for and helped me in a stressful situation with providing dog walking services, while I was out of town. Thank you Adrienne.

Safety, trust & environment
First and foremost, I ask a lot of questions so that I know what your expectations and boundaries are and what your pet needs and prefers. I follow these instructions carefully. I treat your pet like my own, but with your training methods and routines.
Information Adrienne B. would like to know about your pet
What makes your dog happiest? Where are their favorite spots to be scratched or petted? What are your dog's quirks? Are there any commands you want your dog to obey (such as sitting before going out the front door)? Does your dog have any fears or triggers (such as skateboarders or big trucks driving by)? What is your dog's routine?
A typical day
A dog I watch will definitely get a walk, along whatever routes you indicate. If possible I will take the longest walk available. Back at your home, we will play with lots of toys, and spend the rest of the time cuddling.
