A life-long dog lover, I raised and trained a labradoodle puppy from 3 months old to 8 years old. Now that I live away from home, I don't see her as often, so I'm looking for other dogs to hang out with :) I have lots of experience walking dogs, some training experience, and am very responsible when it comes to feeding/bathroom/medicine schedules. I am good at being excited and having fun when the situation calls for it, but am also capable of being assertive and calm in overexcited or anxiety-inducing situations. I do not have much experience with older dogs or very big dogs, but am willing to learn about how best to go about caring for different types of dogs with different needs.

I would love to know 1) any rules you already have in place for your dog (walking etiquette; no furniture; etc), 2) how you might discipline/reward your dog to stick to those rules, 3) how your dog acts/gets along with other dogs, 4) and any quirks or habits you think I should know about.
A typical day
I love going to parks or by the river; likely, however, we will stick to the surrounding neighborhood to your house. I enjoy playing high energy games that require running and exertion like catch and tug-of-war, but am also content to take smell-the-roses kinds of walks or sit calmly with the more low-key dogs
