This was my first time using Adriana as a dog sitter and it wasn’t the best experience. In less than 48-hours Adriana notified me that my dog managed to single-handily ‘cut’ his own face, I was completely baffled bc in the two years I’ve had him, and the numerous times he’s been left alone and with other dog sitters he’s never come close to hurting himself. I was told that the cut wasn’t that bad, even though the photo she sent showed differently. I went against my better judgement and decided a visit to vet wasn’t necessary at the time. However I was getting concerned so I decided to shortened the dog sitter visit and pick him up the very next day. Upon seeing his ‘cut’ it was very apparent to me that it was worse than Adriana led me to believe, so I immediately brought him to emergency vet. Well 2 hours and $180 later I was advised by two vets that the ‘cut’ was a deep puncture wound that resembled a dog bite mark, which myself and others who looked at it thought the same as well. I blame myself for this whole ordeal, going against my better judgement I should have never trusted a new dog sitter and should have taken the injury more seriously. I’m upset my dog was injured under Adriana’s care, and I am not convinced based on the puncture wound that my dog did this to himself. I can’t in good faith recommend Adriana as a dog sitter and this whole situation has made me reevaluate the type of care my dog gets in the future. I will not entrust anyone on the Rover app ever again.
