Hello my name is Adriana. I currently go to PSU Brandywine for my bachelors in Biology. My goal is to become a veterinarian. I work as a part time vet tech at an AAHA accredited hospital. I've also worked in the emergency and ICU department for a speciality veterinary hospital. I started off taking care of my own dogs when I was younger and have grown with my experience each year. Before the Pandemic I’ve volunteered at an alpaca farm and rescued/fostered a deaf dog I had found. He spent a few months with me until he was brought back to health and placed in a loving home. I love all animals but have the most experience with dogs and cats since I work at a general practice veterinary hospital. I can take pets of all shapes and sizes no matter how old, young and with medical conditions for both cats and dogs. I can give all sorts of medications including oral, injectable, topical and drops. I would like to build a relationship with those I encounter. I’m comfortable with challenging pets. Some pets I have watched while owners were away have been an 18 year old cat needing medication, a 15 year old cocker spaniel needing insulin as well as medication for arthritis, small mixed breed dogs with anxiety, a 10 year old large mixed breed dog needing 8 pills in daily, a 180 lb rottie after leg surgery along with his 140 lb great dane brother, an adult dog I have been visiting since he was a pup for the last 2 years and some cats/dogs without any medical conditions. At my job I have given vaccines, allergy shots, fluids, deworming, preformed x-rays, anal sac expression, nail trims, ear cleanings, blood draws, monitoring after anesthesia and much more! I absolutely love large breed dogs as I have some of my own. Pit bulls and Great Danes are some of my favorite breeds but I love all pets.
