This was our first time using an on-demand pet sitting service like Rover. We've only had our pup for one year, during which time when we've gone out of town (which wasn't too much) we put him up in a doggie hotel, so he could play with other dogs, etc. However for reasons that I won't bore you with, we decided that he'd be better off in someone's home. Needless to say we were a bit nervous at first; leaving our pup with a complete stranger. Plus, we had waited until the last minute to find him a home; litterally the day before our flight overseas. I pinged a couple of players on the Rover site, as well as on a few others, and we ended up interviewing only two. After meeting Adriana we knew she was the one. She seemed to really know / understand dogs. In fact, she had one at her home that she was currently sitting who did NOT get along with our pup when we brought him over to meet her. But she managed extremely well to keep them apart, and to keep the dog she was currently sitting under control. We could tell at that moment that she knew dogs. Our experience with her was great. Almost every day we received an update on how our little guy was doing. We got photos and videos, which gave us great piece of mind knowing that he was being taken care of so well. She took him on field-trips. He played. He watched TV. He snuggled. And he looked happy. Leaving a loved one with a complete stranger is a bit unsettling at first, but now that we've given it a go and had such success, we'll definitely be using this service in the future; and our FIRST call will ALWAYS be Adriana.
