Pet care experience
Call me Adri! I am an AKC evaluator, and am a certified CPDT-KA trainer(certification council for professional dog trainers.) I have been training dogs for 6 years. I started out training in a corporate setting, and eventually gew to mentoring other trainers in this setting. I have since branched out to start my own business working independently! I follow a force-free ethos in all of my handling. I believe in helping dogs via understanding and treating why they do what they do. I am a very strong advocate of the human-animal bond, and handle all my clients - whether behavior consultation or a walk and drop in - with personal care focused on strengthening this bond, tailored to each individual dog and parents/family. I study and grow every day. I hope I can help you and your dogs! 💚
Reviews
Adri is great with my animals!! They are always so happy to see her. Warms my heart 🐾
Adriana is reliable, knowledgeable, consistent, and shows Moose and M’baku lots of love! So glad we connected!
Enjoyed meeting Andri. She was very responsive to Scarlett and Scarlett to her.
Adriana is amazing! This is the first time I have left my dog for an extended period of time and as he is a pandemic puppy he suffers from separation anxiety. I was nervous to leave him, but Adri really understands dog behavior and was able to fulfill the needs of my dog while I was away while easing my concerns. She arrived timely and over communicated. I will definitely use her again and highly recommend her!
About Adriana B.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
As an experienced force-free trainer, I avoid any and all techniques that involve force(fear, pain. Intimidation, coercion.) As the heath, safety, happiness, and most importantly TRUST your pets have in me is of utmost importance to me, I will never do anything that makes an animal feel the need to defend themself. I follow all instructions given to me out of respect for you, your home, and your pets. I will only enter and interact with parts of your home you have shown me and given me expressed permission to as we agree upon during our meet and greet session. I do not enter rooms, open doors, take down gates, or move furniture without written(in direct messages) and verbal permission to do so. I will ask about food allergies and potential reactions to food. Motivating factors like food are an important part of my handling, and I take care to account for both animal and human food allergies and dietary restrictions[i.e. if you or a family member are allergic to peanuts, I will not enter your home with treats and food with peanuts or any residue from handling of a prior client; notify me in advanced so I can put a change of clothes and bath wipes in my kit for the day!] I am vaccinated against about just about everything you can think of, and take communicable disease safety seriously. I received my Bivalent COVID booster 10/06/22. If I feel even a little bit off, I will mask up and sanitize my hands in your home. Just as mentioned with food allergies, if at any point during my daily jobs I am exposed to canine illnesses you will be properly notified, and I will have proper PPE and a change of clothes/sanitation methods available to me.
Information Adriana B. would like to know about your pet
As discussed in prior sections, food allergies and health history are crucial information for me. I also need to know as much as I can about your daily routines, the equipment you use, and relationship to other animals in the household or around the neighborhood. Of utmost importance, is your dogs reception to strangers. While I am skilled at getting dogs to trust me, as an experienced and learned trainer, this process can take time sometimes! Reasonable results require reasonable(to the dog) approaches.
A typical day
Sometimes, if the pups have done their business for me quicker than expected, I may do a little trick training with them for fun! I also like to get to know each individual dog's personality. Sometimes, just having a visitor to sit on the porch with them for a few minutes after a walk can be incredibly enriching and bonding.

Availability
Currently, I am available all day, seven days a week. As I am going to be new in northern middlesex county, I am hoping to find a steady base of clients through this open availability, and may make some changes such as giving myself one weekday and one weekend day off, with flexibility for my pet parents.
