Pet care experience
I grew up as a cat person and I have more experience as a dog sitter 😹 I am very attached to our friends' and neighbours' dogs and cats, and care for them by helping the aggressive or scared ones get socialized, playing with them, training them, teaching them different tricks, providing snacks and walking them around the block. Our direct neighbor's dog especially waits by our fence multiple times a day and I make sure to give her time and attention when I can, without spoiling her too much. I play with different breeds of dogs regularly in our dog friendly neighborhood, so I'm quick to understand the level of assertiveness required by different breeds to get them comfortable with me right away. This way I can play with them as well as get them back on track, when they get over-excited or hyped up. I am passionate about providing love and attention to our furry friends which includes a balance of love and assertiveness, so they are able to understand boundaries and communicate their needs effectively. My partner and I are committed to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for all pets left in our charge.

Aditya is so good with Parker! Parker was very nervous to go on a walk with someone he didn’t know at first, and Aditya has worked with him and helped him become comfortable and Parker loves his walks!! Thank you so much.

Our house is in a pet and kid-friendly neighbourhood with a fairly large fenced backyard. We prefer you provide us with your their toys, bed, bowl etc. so they feel comfortable in getting adjusted quickly. Additionally, if you prefer, we also have a host of pet-friendly toys that can be used for chewing, fetching, cuddling etc., depending on the nature of your pet. Similarly, we would prefer if you could provide us with your pet's regular food and let us know their feeding schedule so they're not stressed by too many new factors. If that is not an option, we make sure to have a variety of healthy snacks (homemade and store-bought) depending on the needs of your pet. I even make sure to keep a small jar of wholesome kibbles and snacks in my pocket for pets that we encounter during their walks.

I prefer to arrange a meet n greet with all new clients before accepting their request. Before the actual service, I like to get all of the following information: 1. Regular vet details for emergencies 2. Any and all health conditions (food sensitivities, medication allergies, environment allergens, etc.) 3. Specific tendencies (likes to stay outside, might swallow small items, no new toys, anxiety around larger pets on the street, etc.) 4. Feeding schedule 5. Pooping schedule 6. Sleep preferences
A typical day
We will typically go for multiple walks and play in our backyard with their toys. I like to ensure that posts get the exercise they need without getting over-stimulated, which looks different for different breeds. This helps them sleep and wake up on time and feel less anxious about missing their owners. If they prefer being left alone or are a housebody, I have a cozy bed/blanket/toys set up for them to stay occupied.

Availability
We work from home and have a flexible work schedule, so are present at home all day to play and get your pet acclimated. We prefer requests that are booked in advance so we get a couple of days to allow for household cleanups and chores.
