Pet care experience
I have been raising and taking care of animals since I was 10, with lots of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and even sheep! I have also fostered dogs and cats for the past 5 years with the Cleveland APL and CASPCA, and have lots of experience working with dogs with health/medication requirements, puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with special behavior needs like reactivity. Last year I fostered 8 dogs through the Charlottesville SPCA for 2-4 weeks until they were adopted! I absolutely love dogs and cats and would love to get to know yours! I'm also flexible and great with other animals. I am currently a grad student at UVA and all of my work and classes are virtual, so I have availability 24/7 to be at home with or taking care of pets. I don't have a dog of my own (yet! and all my favorite clients on Rover are the only reason I haven't already adopted) so when housesitting I will not have any other pets to take care of, and will spend all of my time hanging out and loving your animals :)

Adelyn continues to be a wonderful dog sitter for our pups. She's cared for them in our home several times, the most recent of which was a 10-day stay. We arrived home to happy pups and a clean house. My only worry about leaving a good review is that it might result in Adelyn being booked when we need her next!

I have a house with a fenced in backyard and a park nearby, so lots of opportunities to get outside and get exercise for your pups! I will treat your pets as my own, and when housesitting I always make sure I leave a clean house and happy pets to come home to :)

A typical day
I love spending time with dogs and will be with them all day, playing fetch or tug with the many toys we have, cuddling and giving them lots of pets and attention, and going on walks around Charlottesville! I live within walking distance of the UVA lawn so I can take dogs there every day for lots of sniffing and social stimulation. There is also a large park/running track right by Venable where I walk them a few times a day.

Availability
I am able to be at home and hanging out with your pets for most of the day, if I leave it is usually sometime between 1:00-4:00 PM for errands or meetings, but my schedule is very flexible if animals require extra time!
