I first met Adele when she was walking her dog Belle along the bayou walking trails near my home. I had my camera on a tripod on a timer and was struggling to take a picture of myself with Sarge, my black miniature schnauzer, in front of the Reflect sculpture in one of the trail's alcoves. Adele stopped walking Belle and offered to take the picture for me, which I gratefully accepted. Adelle instructed Belle to sit, and as Belle sat beside her, she took pictures of me and my dog -- and was especially attentive to catch the perfect angle and lighting, which makes a big difference when photographing a black dog with black eyes. (Later I learned she's a professional photographer with an impressive portfolio!) I was impressed with her command over her own dog Belle, who sat patiently beside her while she photographed me & my dog, and with her kindness and attentiveness to me & my dog. I own a dog daycare, and I have been formally trained in not only dog training, but also in behavioral management of dogs individually & in groups. In the context of that background, I was genuinely impressed with Adele's control over and responsibility for her own dog, and of her facility in interacting so naturally & appropriately with a dog she had just met, mine. Adele is intelligent, prudent, responsible & trustworthy. My business offers daycare, grooming & boarding services, but not dog walking. We maintain a list of dog walkers for those occasions when someone calls seeking that service, and Adele is at the top of that list. When recommending someone's services to another, I'm putting my own reputation on the line, so I don't make recommendations without careful thought. I would entrust my own dog to Adele's care, the most validating testimonial or representation any dog owner can make to another dog owner. And without hesitation or reservation, I recommend Adele to my dog daycare & grooming clientele who request dog-walking services, and to non-customers who call my dog daycare seeking a dog walker.

So Adele is going to become a dog walker? I'm not surprised...and lucky you she is. I imagine there are a handful of people on here who are simply looking for a quick buck and regard the walking of a dog as a tedious chore to get over with as soon as possible. Dogs can sense this lack of interest and caring and if they are continually in the presence of someone ill-suited for this job, the dog will react accordingly. Adele creates a space of security and gently but firmly will guide your pup on its daily walks. Your pup will feel as safe with Adele as it feels with you. I've seen Adele in action from the moment she rescued her pound puppy. Bel (the pup) is one lucky dog. She gets walked for at least an hour everyday. She is kept healthy with a good diet, ongoing training and a lot of exercise and love. If you are looking for someone who can provide a security blanket for your dog while you are away from home then Adele is your person. She has a joyous disposition and a love for the outdoors which probably makes walking your dog as much fun for her as it is for the pup! In short, she is a paragon - a champion dog walker. Does it seem like I'm gushing? Well I am. Adele is the best person with whom you can entrust this very special member of your family. And do you hear that?
