Pet care experience
hello! i’m a pre-vet biology major at the University of Tampa. born and raised in St.Pete, my entire life has revolved around animals. originally working at a doggy daycare, i have taken my skills and ventured into working in a veterinary setting at an animal hospital while also shadowing a veterinary behaviorist. i’ve worked with younger puppies and kittens (couple of months old) up to senior pets (usually 10-13 years old) and everything in between! i prioritize the health and happiness of all the pets i work with as i want to continue college and get my DVM (doctor of veterinary medicine) to specialize in behavior! i have experience with working with dogs with a history of aggression and anxiety and believe that it’s best for people who understand animal body language to work directly with them. i love meeting pets outside of the veterinary setting because there can be some tension inside the clinic. getting to know each pet's personality and quirks is something i value that can be brought into my education and work! i strive to give each pet the upmost care as if it were my own. i love to give cute/extra gestures and you’ll probably find yourself with many photos of your pet and possibly even a report card or run down of the visit!

I love using addy for pet sitting! She truly does care for her clients and their pets. She is more than willing to make sure the house she leaves is in good shape and the pets are happy! I love that she gives a questionnaire to her new clients to get basic history to better the stay! She is so involved in what she does.
Addy was fantastic at what she does! She made my pets feel at home and gave him so much love when she took care of him and was around him. I love what she does for the quality of the stay with her want to make sure my pets are comfortable and healthy!

if a backyard is not available, I will walk the pets that need it with a leash and harness/collar provided. if a backyard is provided, then I will allow them to go outside with supervision.

A typical day
When watching a pet I like to do things that the animal would naturally do. If the pet is usually high energy, we would expect to do some form of mental stimulation from exercise or puzzles (if the owner has any). If they are more likely to lie down, we can cuddle and watch some shows. Activities vary based on the pet's needs and wants.

I am a college student and will continue classes over the summer while I work. So, that does mean I can be a bit busy at times. However, that does not discourage me from caring for your animals with as much love and effort as possible.
