Pet care experience
I work as a vet tech assistant and know a lot about animal behavior and handling. I have had training and experience with aggressive, sick, injured, and scared cats and dogs and know how to safely care for them. I have four dogs of my own and am comfortable with administering medications, as well as more technical things like insulin. I know how to make sure your pet is safe and healthy while you are gone. I also have experience with large animals, like horses, goats, and cattle, as well as exotics like lizards and turtles. I love animals and will always give them lots of attention and anything else they need from me while under my care.

In my home, I have a 60 lb goldendoodle, 50 lb lab mix, 40 lb aussie mix, and a 16 lb chiweenie. They are all friendly with smaller, calmer dogs and have constant access to a large fenced-in yard through a dog door, multiple water sources, lots of toys (none with stuffing, fabric, or rope that is easily swallowed), and are fed twice a day. When I'm caring for animals at a client's house, I will spend a minimum of the agreed upon time with the animal and be sure to follow instructions about feeding, watering, and otherwise spending time with their animals. This is my job, and I will not just be sitting on my phone the whole time. I am totally okay with sending photo or video updates of the pets as well to ensure peace of mind!

A typical day
I make sure to prioritize exercise and attention with all the animals I watch. At my house, all my dogs are walked at least once a day (the aussie twice) and I see how much it helps their energy levels. I will always be sure to have lots of time for pets and cuddles if the dog wants them and I can plan enrichment games and puzzles with treats if needed.

Availability
School and work take up a good chunk of my day, but I am available before 8:30 am and after 6:30 pm on most days. As far as Friday through Sunday, I am much more flexible and looking for more bookings during those days.
