Pet care experience
Other than my experience, my passion for animals has been something I've had since childhood. From personal and professional experience, I've learned that each pet is so different in their own unique way, and all dogs require different levels and approaches of care. I grew up with a dog that comes from a very difficult and stubborn breed, so I have lots of knowledge and personal experience dealing with challenging pets. I definitely would say I have a very soft and patient side when it comes to animals.

Addie took excellent care of my 4 month old puppy Kaiya when I was away on a trip. She was extremely attentive - always took her out to potty every couple of hours so that there were no accidents, and played and interacted with her throughout the day. She sent me plenty of videos and pictures so that I would know she was safe and happy. I recommend her to anyone looking for any sort of dog care. It's easy to see that she is a dog lover and will treat anyone's pup like her own family.

In my home and in other people's homes, I care for pets with diligence and respect. I am very conscious of the rules that owners lay out for their pets, because I understand that consistency is key when it comes to dog sitting. My main priority is making sure that pets feel safe and comfortable in my care, and I will often tailor my approach depending on what owners tell me about their pets. If pets need more space and are gradual to warm up, I make sure to be gentle and soft in my approach. If pets are on the needier side and need more affection, I love giving animals affection as well.

There are so many things important for me to know about a dog ahead of time. Most importantly, I of course want to know if your dog has medications or any medical conditions, if they get along with other dogs/animals, if they has any specific triggers that may cause aggression or fear, their potty schedule, their sleeping schedule, and just overall what a typical day for them would look like. Additionally, I think it's crucial for me to know about your dog's temperament and personality before I meet them so I can consider my approach to caring for them!
A typical day
It of course depends on the dog, but there are tons of activities I could do with the dogs I watch. I live a 5-10 minute walk from a park that is great for dogs. There are multiple open fields that other dogs can play on (of course granted that they're friendly and well-behaved). If the dog is less social, I would be happy to give them walks around my neighborhood- depending on their stamina, I can take them for a walk in a flatter area or go in more steep, hilly areas. My neighborhood has both, so it's great and versatile for dogs of all speeds.

I currently work full time but my job is completely remote. Having a remote job makes it very easy to do other tasks within my day, as I don't need to be constantly at my desk to get work done.
