Pet care experience
I've been walking with Rover since November, and I absolutely love it! I promise to give your pet the attention and care that they deserve!!! Prior to Rover, I gained ample experience in dog-walking, in a volunteer capacity. I've volunteered at Sean Casey Animal Rescue and BARC in Brooklyn. These walks were always in a one-on-one capacity, where I was able to give the dog my 100% undivided attention.
Reviews

Adam is reliable, kind, and immediately made a great impression with Lola. It felt like she had known him forever! He kept me updated with lots of pictures and messages, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend him. Thank you, Adam!

Super cooperative, responsible, and easy to work with and he followed all instructions perfectly!

Adam is the best and always looking out for my Honey girl !!!

The best pet sitter and the only person I trust with my baby! Always punctual, kind, and flexible! He goes above and beyond every time!! Cannot recommend enough.

Safety, trust & environment
With Rover, I always communicate with the dog owner, to make sure what the exact needs of the dog are. I walk fast, so I ensure that the dog gets ample exercise. I stay alert and keep an eye out for any potential dangers - other dogs, chicken bones, squirrels, etc. I make certain to complete a detailed Rover Card and update the owners often. I grew up with lot of animals - dogs, cats, birds, fish. I was a responsible pet owner, but more importantly I gave all of the animals lots of attention, affection, and stimulation.
Information Adam S. would like to know about your pet
I don't really have a preference in the breed or size of the dog. Most of the dogs that I have lived with have been on the smaller size. But when I would go to the shelter to volunteer, most of the dogs were quite large, and often pit bull mixes.
A typical day
With Rover, I mostly focus on giving the dog a quality walk. One of my regular dogs likes creating his own impromptu agility course. Certain dogs really love playing in the snow. Some of the dogs have led me to Starbucks, wanting pup cups, which I got for them (with their owner's approval). I really look forward to the pick-ups and drop-offs. I'll take time to greet them warmly and play with them for a little bit. It's my favorite part of the day! Some activities that I liked to participate in with my former pet miniature schnauzer, Mimi, was hide-and-seek, belly rubs, "I'm gonna getcha", and tug-of-war.

Availability
I have availability during the week (Mon - Fri from 8 to 6). I am currently unable to to commit to any kind of recurring walks. I do best with booking requests that are made a day ahead of time or the same day. Last-minute requests are perfectly fine with me. I am looking to walk and care for dogs in the World Trade Center / Battery Park City area. On some weekends, I will also be available to walk dogs in and around Boerum Hill in Brooklyn.
