Putting a spark in your dog's bark!

Pet care experience

My name's Adam! Besides graduating from law school and taking the CA bar (still waiting on results!), I did my undergrad in film and grew up with a fondness for dogs inspired by my grandmother’s Boston terriers and her collection of some classic “dog cinema,” including my personal favorites, ‘Lassie,’ ‘Lady and the Tramp,’ ‘Homeward Bound,’ ‘101 Dalmatians,’ and ‘Marley and Me.’ There are many reasons to love dogs, but, for me, if I had to name one reason, or give them an adjective, it would be that they are: non-judgmental. In these times, our world could use more people with the open minds and hearts like our dogs. John Grogan said it best in ‘Marley and Me,’ “a dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his.” And that’s what I will do with your dog(s). I will give them my heart, and my time and energy. Recently, I house sat for a German shepherd (Kelvin), schnauzers (Onyx & Duke), and some French bulldogs (Sage & Paisley). All unique, but bounded by their need for love. Every person's home and their furry family members deserve to be taken care of -- worry-free -- when she/he is away. I'm a young professional who is quiet, peaceful and clean. I'm also outdoorsy and like any kind of recreational activity. So, if your dog likes to run/hike, then she/he can join me on mine. Hopefully you can give me the opportunity. And, hey -- no worries -- I'll hold down the fort. Cheers!

The well known phrase in life is man's best friend is a dog.. well I must say a dogs best friend will be Adam! He is such a kind, energetic, easygoing, clean, and trust worthy gentleman. I can go on and on about this young thriving man. Adam has helped me by caring for my special dog stitch numerous times. Stitch is a character (pun intented) he truly is like the character he is a loving dog but can definitely be a handful as well. Adam was able to give him the exact attention he requires while I'm away from giving him his correct feedings, play time, poopy time and just overall love. If you want your furbaby to be in the best hands, Adam is your dogs best friend!

What I appreciated the most about Adam was his understanding that my two dogs are my family. He always went that extra mile to ensure they were loved and cared for. One of my dogs requires extra attention, and I was always impressed with the patience and kindness he showed my dog Duke. If you are looking for a reliable, professional person who genuinely loves dogs, Adam is the guy.

Information Adam P. would like to know about your pet

For me, being proactive is key, so let's keep it important and simple with my "5 Doggy Proactive" questions: 1) Doggy Strength: What's the length of exercise your dog can handle? 2) Doggy Friends: Can your dog socialize with others? 3) Doggy Medical: What's your dog's medical background, including vaccinations and allergies, health needs, diet, and her/his emergency contact(s)? 4) Doggy Report: Having graduated from law school, does your dog have any "priors" that I need to be aware/vigilant of? Let's avoid the dog pound. 5) Doggy Schedule: What schedule (e.g., feeding) is your dog on?

A typical day

I'm a young professional who is quiet, peaceful and clean. I'm also outdoorsy and like any kind of recreational activity. So, if your dog likes to run/hike, then she/he can join me on mine. I'll change it up from day-to-day -- from residential sidewalks to parks to maybe even the beach or permissible local dog events. We may even try some dog-friendly hikes to see some sights and reflect. And maybe, just maybe, we can relax after a long day and see some "dog cinema." 'Beethoven,' anyone?
