I have been caring for dogs since I was 9. My family has owned 1 large dog and 1 small dog. I also have often pet sat for multiple neighbors/family members.

Adam helped me with my puppy over about a week. He was patient and kind to Ginger! He was able to handle her energy level and helped me make sure she was getting enough exercise and time outside.

Depending on the personality of the dog I am working with, I will either see that it is monitored constantly or let explore. My dog has been trained to stay within our property, so we do not have a fence and let him explore our backyard. Our previous dog was very excitable, so we either walked with leash or maintained visual.

A typical day
Walks are a must. Depending on the area, I will walk around the neighborhood or bring to the park. I will also engage in playing like tug of war, fetch, or just running in general. In addition to expending energy, I also like to have a “rest period” this way the dog can take a nap and recoup.

Availability
I am home for the summer working part time to generate money for college expenses. I work 4 hour shifts after starting at 1. That being said, I am available some mornings and throughout evenings on a daily basis.
