About this sitter: My name is Adaline. I'm a longtime lover of animals!! I'm obsessed with them. I've had dogs and cats all my life and I love them dearly. You can count on me to care for your fur baby. I tend to get along with most of them well. I have a 9 month old long haired Weiner dog who gets along with everyone including cats. I love nature and being outdoors so I figured I'd pick up a hobby job walking dogs and pet sitting. When I was a kid I thought was a pet whisperer because I'd go to the park and the animals would let me be close enough to pet them. I remember petting squirrels on trees and one time I pet a giant Canadian goose. Since then Ive always had a strong connection with animals and that there is mutual trust. Very nice girl, but this isn’t the line of work for her. I trusted her to care for my dog for two weeks. She literally left my dog days ago with a random “friend”. His crate was full of poop, which indicates he was left the for an extended period of time. I couldn’t even bring it with me. She was supposed to drop him off Monday avenging, but decided to leave town like Friday ( I’m not kidding ), and had me pick up my own dog from a stranger. Here’s the deal: if I book you to watch my dog, I want what I paid for. You can’t just decided to go do another job, when my dog’s care is your job. Adeline took advantage of the fact that I was out of town, paying her to watch my dog. The house is not a place for an indoor dog. I was honestly afraid to touch things. Also his $30 rope leash is just gone. None of this things were packed and I had to hunt all over this property to find the remainder of his things. For the $800+ I paid, I couldn’t believe she would just leave my dog with some person I didn’t know. This was one of the worst business transactions I’ve ever seen. I honestly debated writing this, but then realized that people need to know not to let their dogs go to this house. It honestly looked like a junk yard with garbage and abandoned vehicles. I’ve never been more shocked at a living environment. You have been warned, don’t bring your dog here.
We thought everything was okay. We did a meet and greet and our dogs didn't seem to dislike Adaline. We got a picture each day. But then we picked up our dogs. Both our dogs had poop in their crates, and our dachshund's crate also stank of bile and urine. Our dogs have been crate trained since they were puppies; accidents are rare to non-existent with them as they are 6 and 7 years old, so this would have been very aberrant behavior for them. And it wasn't like sick/diarrhea poop like he'd been ill; it was normal poop that had been smashed into their blankets, the poop had been stepped in (as there was a pawprint), and half dried. We were told that when we picked them up that the dachshund had had an accident, but she made no attempt to clean out his crate, nor did she offer any kind of explanation as to what happened. We had no idea our other dog *also* had poop in her crate until we were cleaning them out when we got home. Who returns crates with poop in them? There were other details that didn't seem to add up, and given the state of their crates, we do not believe our dogs received adequate care. We will not be hiring Adaline again and would caution others as well.
Adaline is so sweet and you know she loves dogs This was the first time I ever left the girls without my sister being there. They have separation anxiety especially Sweet pea. When I got home they were happy and relaxed. Adaline sent me the cutest pictures of my girls. I was not worried about leaving them.
