I love animals & to help others,

Pet care experience

I have had pets since I was 8 years old. I have helped friends and neighbors in Montana, before moving to Pocatello, care for their pets and livestock (cows, horses, and mules). Sharing my time with pets makes me happy. I cannot have pets where I live, but I would love to help you out and care for your animals, while you cannot, at your home. I have had cats, dogs, horses, mules, ponies, and cows, and have taken in strays, which ended up staying and becoming beloved family members. Pets are family and they deserve the same love and the attention you give a human family member. On weekdays, I am available to walk in the early morning, potty break at lunch, and walks in the evenings. Weekends are more flexible for longer times. I can house sit as a pop in or stay over. Last minute notice welcome, if I am available. I would care for your pet at your place, take dogs to a local hiking spot, to a lake for water fun or for neighborhood walks. I am up for many environments to meet your pets' age limitations or health concerns. I care about animals and make them feel special while they are with me. I can play with cats, cuddle with them, take for walks on leash or without depending on them. Cats that think and act like a dog are welcomed. I’ve had four like this and they are fun. I have managed up to 3 cats and 2 dogs in the same home, plus 3 horses, a mule, chickens, a pony, outside cats, and 25 pairs of Red Angus. Your critters will be in good hands, they will be loved, cared for, and spoiled when I watch them. I will make sure they have a full bowl/bottle of water and follow the feeding regimen your provide.

Great to communicate with. My cat is usually picky about new people but got along great with Aceline!

Hello, my name is Kim. Aceline was one of my volunteers at the Pocatello Animal Shelter. I trusted her to care for the animals at the shelter and follow all the guidelines. She did an excellent job caring, loving and following the rules. I had full trust in her and allowed her to take the dogs to events and be able to handle them around people and other animals. I would most definitely recommend Aceline! Kim V.

My name is Danielle G. and I have known Aceline for about 5 years. I ran the Pocatello Animal shelter for a while and she volunteered. She also babysat my dogs. She is kind and compassionate and is able to connect with animals. I believe that Aceline would make a wonderful walker and sitter I also think once people work with her she will be in demand. Please feel free to contact me for any additional information. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Aceline is an excellent caregiver who goes above and beyond for any animal from hamsters, to horses! She loves all and has a very calm and sweet demeanor (good for any animal who has high anxiety or is a rescue). Aceline likes to go for walks with dogs, and take them to parks to play. Having adopted many animals, she has a wide variety of experience! She will make sure your fur-babies are spoiled and happy while you are away, so you can relax and have a great time on vacation!

I will watch and care for your pets at your home. I will come to your home, play in backyard, or take for walk in your neighborhood, or take a ride in the car to a local dog park, hiking trail, or dog friendly water. Open to dog run/walk events also, requires registration and longer times for this adventure, but dogs love the walk, treats, and meeting lots of other dogs along the journey.

Information Aceline M. would like to know about your pet

Having been around many types of animals, meeting each pet and their owner is very important to me. Some pets get scared easily, while others are care free. Working with animal shelter dogs and cats, and walking dogs in dog runs has shown me that no two pets are alike. They have personalities as unique as humans. A meet and greet with a health update, as well as likes and dislikes is very helpful to know, such as their favorite treat, or that your pet is terrified of storms are vital information to help understand their temperament and learn more about them. I like to bring a favorite treat as a great ice breaker when meeting a pet. Let’s talk about your special fur baby(ies) and then the meet & greet. For 85 plus pound dogs or more aggressive dogs, I prefer if they have had basic training and can obey simple walking commands on a leash. I have help train some shelter dogs to basic walking etiquette, so if this is needed, I would train a bit in your backyard or home before taking out and about for safety reasons. I also know how to turn and distract a dog from an excitable situation and move away from the cause. I have not met a breed of animal I don't like, not to be confused with an animal trained to behave a specific way. This would be discussed during a call prior to the meet and greet.

A typical day

We can walk in the neighborhood, go to a local park, local hiking spot, nearby lake, dog park... I am pretty flexible. If they like to fetch or play frisbee, tug-a-war, I am game. While relaxing, a good belly rub, muscle rub down, or ride in the car with the wind in their face is a nice end to our day. Keeping your pets engaged and active is good for both of us, so when we’re done they look forward to a nap in the comfort of their own home.
