I started getting involved with pet care because of my mental illness. The stress of life was lowering my ability to function and every job I tried seemed to make it all worse. Enter: Dogs. I decided if I was going to make it I needed to be doing something that gave instead of took from me. Animals have helped bring me back to life in the dark. I’ve worked with puppies and older dogs. I’ve spent significant time with dogs with anxiety issues as well. I tend to connect with dogs who need a little extra love the most anyway. (Other than my current bookings I have stopped doing housesitting temporarily due to being unable to manage chronic health issues with another full time job. I will still accept boarding requests as it always me to stay in my more accessible space.)
