Safety, trust & environment

I have a dog and a cat. I take my dog on daily walks and have play time with her. My cat loves to play with her as well when I’m gone running errands.

Information Abigail W. would like to know about your pet

1. Know the Dog's Temperament: Understand the dog's personality and behavior. Some dogs may be more energetic or shy, which can affect how you handle them. 2. Leash and Collar Fit: Make sure the leash and collar are appropriate for the dog’s size and breed. A well-fitted harness can be a great option for some dogs. 3. Basic Commands: Familiarize yourself with basic commands like sit, stay, and heel. This can help you manage the dog better during walks. 4. Health Considerations: Be aware of any health issues or allergies the dog may have. Check if they need any medications or special care. 5. Socialization: Know how the dog interacts with other dogs and people. Some dogs may need space, while others love to socialize.

A typical day

When watching pets, I plan to engage them in a variety of fun activities to keep them happy and entertained. For dogs, I would take them for regular walks or runs in the park, play fetch with their favorite toys, and have interactive play sessions with agility games or puzzles. For cats, I would provide stimulating playtime with feather wands, laser pointers, and engaging toys that encourage their natural hunting instincts. Additionally, I would ensure plenty of cuddle time and affection to strengthen our bond. Overall, my goal is to create a fun and enriching environment that caters to each pet's individual personality and preferences.
