I have always loved animals and have been surrounded by them my entire life! I currently have 2 dogs and a guinea pig that I care for when I am home in Stafford, VA. Additionally, I own a bunny and 3 hamsters that spend most of the time in Harrisonburg, VA with me when I am at school. I am currently employed at the White Oak Lavender Farm in Harrisonburg, VA where I am a caretaker for large and small equine, alpacas, sheep, goats, chickens, and rabbits. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments, barnyard animals, small animals, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. I have experience in feeding, walking, bathing, clipping nails, ear cleaning, medication administration, and other services, many which I perform daily for my own pets.

Abigail is an amazing dog sitter! She is incredibly attentive and caring towards pets, making sure they are taken care of in every aspect. Her love for animals is very apparent in how enthusiastically she cares for each pet- I highly recommend her!
Abigail Wiler is a very responsible human being who is very loving when it comes to animals. She petsit my FOUR German Shepard’s which is not a small feat considering two are still puppies. During the time she petsit them, she often asked me questions over the phone if she was uncertain of anything to make sure my dogs were in the best condition they could be while my family was gone. Additionally, she would send me cute photos/videos of them playing fetch and doing other activities while I was away making me know they were good hands.
Full disclosure: Abby is my daughter. Abby is a pure animal lover, and is extremely conscientious about animal care. She has her own bunny in her room that she has had for over 5 years, and for several years had two bunnies (one passed from old age). She's also had a guinea pig and we have two dogs, a miniature poodle (17 lbs) and a labradoodle (60 lbs). She is fully trustworthy with the care of your pets and will ensure they're safe and loved in her care.
Abby has watched our pups on more than one occasion. We love Abby and so do our pups. She is very attentive, gives them love and attention while we are away. She feeds them, plays with them and gives them their potty breaks. She communicated with us and gave us updates on how they are doing. We highly recommend Abby!!!

When it comes to the individual needs of a pet I like to know anything and everything to expect. Every pet has a different personality and specific routines. I love to know what kind of personality I can expect from a pet beforehand as well as become aware of any habits the pet might have that I should look out for. I often conduct one or multiple home visits with you and your pet beforehand so they can become comfortable with me in a safe environment. Please let me know if your pet has certain treats, foods, or medications they should have as well as those that they shouldn’t. I like to know the regular routine of your pet to assure that they remain consistent and comfortable when they are under my care.
A typical day
I love spending time with all animals. I often take my dogs out into my yard to play fetch or go to the park with them whenever I am home. I own a senior bunny who is free roam and litter trained and she is given fresh veggies daily. My three hamsters all live in separate large enclosures, as they are solitary animals. Their enclosures contain all the essentials such as their 11 inch wheels; sand bath, and deep bedding for burrowing. They are given fresh vegetables 2-3 times a week as well as a tablespoon of seed mix nightly. At the farm I work at I take care of the animals including feeding, haltering, and cleaning stalls. I always make sure to keep pets I am responsible for under close supervision to ensure their safety as well provide lots of attention and playtime for them! My number one priority is your pets health, safety, and happiness.

I am currently a sophomore at James Madison University. I am a full time petsitter over the summer and on breaks when I am home from college. I have been a full time petsitter since my senior year of high school.
