I’ve always had at least one family dog since I was born, plus a few cats here and there. Whether caring for my own dogs or pet-sitting for friends and neighbors, I have always been a care-giver for one pup or another. I have experience walking, grooming, playing with, and socializing a variety of different dogs- from a delicate toy poodle named Georgette to a high-speed, high-energy golden doodle named Fenley (both of which I have groomed). I’ve also cared for dogs that are timid or shy around some humans, especially children. My experience working with both children and pets has equipped me to handle every sticky situation I’ve encountered with the two. I am also familiar with and open to caring for more exotic pets. Thanks to my job, I have professional experience handling reptiles like snakes, turtles and alligators. Recreationally, I have cared for bearded dragons, rabbits, hamsters, and guinnea pigs. For several years, I had a pet hedgehog who I lovingly referred to as my “sharp dog”. I love playing with pets and taking them outside to stretch their legs and be a part of the world.
