I have grown up with many different animals in my care. From broken wings to abandoned baby bunnies, special care has been on my lifes path since early childhood. All the pets i have had; rats, kitties, dogs, snakes, and frogs have all been a rescue situation. I feel i have a deep connection with animals and am inclined to communicate with them than most people, haha. My last dog i had was a rescue great dane, he was dying of liver failure, as well as starvation and was severely skittish when it came to people. Well, he ended up getting to a very healthy and happy place with me for 3 years and is living his best life on a farm at the moment. He went from yellow skin and bones to a hearty cream 150lbs! Big butt rufus. So, i feel that even with house sitting or over nights in my home, all animals come from different backgrounds and just like humans, they need special individual care and emotional need. I also would love to take a pup to yellow springs for their walk if thats something they would be able to do, or just a walk around their neighborhood! A walk is, after all, the only way a house pet will be able to get the mental and physical stimulation they need! I know i don't like being cooped up all day.
