Abigail was great! She was super sweet during our meet and greet and made sure she knew what we wanted/our pets schedule. Our pets warmed up to her quickly. During the stay she sent lots of updates and pictures throughout the day, followed all play and food instructions, and was super transparent about her schedule and when she would leave for work, etc. In every photo our pets looked super happy and at ease which eased our minds in the midst of travel. She also let us know about any small concern she has about the pups but thankfully nothing was serious. You can tell she really cares for animals and gets along with them really well. She stayed in our home for 4 days and we welcomed her to utilize whatever she needed in our kitchen/home. She made sure to clean up after herself which was greatly appreciated. We will definitely ask Abigail to watch our pets again if the need arises, she was super great.

I have debated how to write this review for several weeks, but - in the end - I feel obligated to let other pet owners know what we experienced for housesitting. I have no doubt that Abigail cares a great deal about the pets she watches and I believe her heart is in the right place. But this was the most stressful pet setting experience we've had on Rover to date. We definitely could have been more clear about what the expectations were and what we were willing to allow regarding access to our home, our food, our appliances and belongings, etc. That was our fault. So, I would recommend being explicitly clear both verbally and in writing. You may need to repeat a few times. By the end of the stay, Abigail was doing great: taking the dogs out frequently, showing them lots of love and she communicated frequently. She even picked up poop in the yard without asking, which was much appreciated. ;)
