I have been taking care of ALL kinds of animals since I was a little bitty kid. I am one of those people who has a special connection with animals. I have been a nanny for the same family for the last 5 years. They have a cat that didn't like ANYONE to touch him. For the longest time, I was the only one who he would come to or allow to touch him. My parents bred and sold German Shepherds, I have friends that bred and sold Pomeranians, I was their dog bather and groomer. I have taken care of just about every kind of farm animal/pet that you can think of. I have another friend that I'd been going to see, every week for 6 years, before their dog allowed me to pet him. He doesn't allow anyone but his owners to touch him. He's snapped at many people. Now he greets and talks to me when I come into the house. He also lets me pet him anytime I want to now! (Unless it's fireworks time! Nobody but his "Dad" can calm him down! Poor Baby!) I guess you could say that I have a LOT of patience with animals.
