Pet care experience
I currently care for multiple dogs in my university town, on a weekly basis. I have two dogs of my own, a 10 year old cocker spaniel who has high energy, and a 3 year old miniature Dachshund. My Dachshund also has epilepsy so I am familiar with the condition and appropriate medical responses needed. Given that I’m moving into my university holiday I’m looking to take on more jobs with dogs in my hometown. I am familiar with many differing breeds, sizes, and behaviours!
Reviews
Abbie did a wonderful job with our dog. She was prompt with communication and kept us informed throughout our time away. The house was spotless when we returned and the dog was happy and tired. Couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommended!
Abbie has looked after our beautiful golden retriever on many occasions. Abbie is a caring, professional and reliable person. She has walked, fed and played with our dog, and I trust her to take good care of our family pet.
Abigail regularly cares for our family dogs. She looked after Mabel from 8 weeks. She loves all dogs and is very reliable. No dog will go short of cuddles when she’s around!

I'm very aware that each dog has different behaviours and needs, and on this basis I will always take on board the owners preferences and advice.

Information Abigail J. would like to know about your pet
Back home I have a deaf dog and a very small dog, who’s a little wary of bigger dogs. We use this service ourself and the carers/walkers are wonderful, always understanding little habits with our dogs, such as the nature of recall on walks, what they enjoy, and what environments they’re most happy in. As I would expect with the care of my own dogs, I’ll always reach for a detailed understanding of the dogs character and their own anxieties, habits, likes, and routines.
A typical day
I’m absolutely up for anything. Whether that’s a long walk, lots of engaging playful activities in the house, or even just a sit down and scrub.

Availability
My routine in general is very flexible, I don't currently have another job external to this one so my weekends, weekdays, mornings and evenings are often available. With current clients I always tell them even if it’s the night before, pop me a message and I can help out!
