Pet care experience
I've been caring for dogs, animals, and people for as long as I can remember. Being at college and away from home, I didn't get to see my dog or really any animals. And now that I have moved out and have raised my own puppy, I recognize how important it is to find someone trustworthy and caring for our furry companions when we're away! I'm attentive, playful, and nurturing. I work full-time and Radford University, so the best times for me are typically From 5:30pm onward, overnights and weekends! But feel free to reach out if you have any questions on my availability! I'm super excited about having an opportunity to be around such incredible pets and owners and continue learning how to care for pets in new and exciting ways!

Abigail was great. She came and met me well ahead of her stay and then came back about a week before to get the key. She stayed in contact throughout her stay. I would definitely use her again.

Came home to a happy doggy as usual! Abigail is my go to and she's the best!
Abbey was absolutely awesome! I had her house sit and watch my 8 year old shiba mix over the long Thanksgiving weekend. She had no problem dealing with my dog's quirks, she was communicative and friendly the whole time, and I returned home to a spotless house and a happy doggo. It's such a good feeling being 1000 miles from home yet knowing my dog is comfortable in his own house with a great sitter. Abbey will be my go-to from now on, and I happily recommend her for any service on this site.

I have a 2 year old American Bully, and we have raised him since he was 6 weeks old. So I am very familiar with the schedules, routines, and energy levels of puppies and adult dogs. My dog was crate trained, and I am more than happy to uphold that or any other routines you may have set for y our own pups.

I love all breeds and dogs, but recognize many have different temperaments and personalities. As someone who has raised an American Bully (which looks very similar to a Staffordshire or Pitbull, very highly energetic, curious, and reactive) I understand how important it is to get the full picture of a dog before you interact. I like to know general energy levels, potential triggers or reactivity, and other information that helps me understand your dog best!
A typical day
I'm a big fan of playing with dogs. That sounds silly, I'm aware! What I mean is, once I know how your dog likes to be stimulated, that's what I like to stick with. My dog is a big tug player, and loves to go on long walks where he can get all of his curiosity and smells out! I also love mentally stimulating dogs by working through basic training and commands. Who knows, maybe we'll learn something new together!

Availability
I work full-time at Radford University. I typically leave for work at 8:00am, and return home by 5:30 pm. Throughout the week, and on the weekends, I also take gym classes. By no means do these things need to remain permanent in their scheduled times, and I'm 100% willing to discuss these changes if they are needed!
