Pet care experience
I have a german shepherd female who I got when she was 2 months old. I was 16 at the time but I felt that I was ready for the responsibility. I’ve been the one to make take care of her since I got her. I trained her, I take her on her walks, to the vet, make her breakfast and dinner, give her baths, groom her, let her sleep in my bed, and spoil her way too much! I am a full on dog mom! In addition to her, I also have a golden retriever and two cats. I have dog sat multiple times for a good neighbor of mine and family members. I love all dogs from small ones to huge ones like my german shepherd.

While I am not offering dog sitting in my own home, my home is very dog friendly. There’s a lot of dog parks nearby and while my house is not fenced in, I always make sure to take my pups out with a leash! I always make sure to clean up after my dogs when going outdoors and wipe down their paws if they get a little muddy. When out on walks with my dog, I am always very observant of where we are. For example, I keep in mind that not everyone likes dog so if I see a person walking or even another dog, I’ll make sure to walk my dog to a different area where they’re not in the way. I also always walk on sidewalks and never on roads so we can avoid cars!

Information I like to know about dogs ahead of time is how they react around others dogs and people so I know what to steer clear of. I also like to know any fears of the dog. For example my dog is afraid of the ground sewers so I always avoid those on walks with her.
A typical day
Typically I like to pay fetch with dogs a lot. If you have a backyard I love throwing things and chasing them around the yard. On walks I like to take dogs just around the neighborhood and places with sidewalks and grass.

Availability
I attend Cornell University so I am usually away at college. However, I’m available in the summer from around May to the end of August and also from around mid December to mid January!
