Pet care experience
HI! My name is Abigail, and I am a law student and ADA in Denver, CO. I live in a small house in the Lakewood area with my partner and two cats, but most of my pet care experience is with dogs! I spent much of my upbringing taking care of my family’s golden retrievers (they have three as of now!). I have experience caring for disabled and shy pets from years of volunteering with the National Mill Dog Rescue in Colorado Springs, and strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for all animals in my care. I work currently work full-time and attend school, so my partner and I tag-team our boarders. He works from home and provided supervision, care, and lots of play time during the day, and I take over at night. Our scheduled current see us taking mostly boarders as clients, but if you need a sitter to come to your home and walk your dog, please don’t hesitate to ask! We have a fully fenced-in yard with lots of space for play, as well as a comfortable, private house where your pet will have lots of space to rest and relax. Our two cats are usually allowed to roam free around our home when we have boarders, and we have found that a strategically placed baby gate works well at keeping the peace and allowing slow introductions.

Abigail and her partner were wonderful. My dogs are 13 and 7 and I have never had to board them before. They helped to make me feel very comfortable while leaving my dogs in their care. They sent daily updates and answered all questions I had as well as sent me daily pictures. They were very easy to get in touch with and quick with all responses. We will definitely be using them in the future.
Abigail was phenomenal watching our dog and was great at providing updates during the stay. We had total piece of mind knowing our pup was with such attentive care. Abigail was also very flexible with coordination which was a huge help with an unforeseen change in travel plans.

My partner and I split the work of caring for our boarders. He handles care during the day, and I take over at night. We have two cats that love to interact with our boarders and provide great entertainment! We have a 6 ft. tall fence that wraps around the entirety of our property, with a gate to shut the yard off from our neighbors. If a dog just loves to be outside, we normally let them play in the yard to their heart’s content. Our house has windows on three sides that give us the ability to keep an eye on our boarders from any room in our house. We make it a policy to not walk our boarders, as we have had many that have been reactive to other dogs following the pandemic, and whose behavior has been unpredictable without their owners around. Instead, we play rousing games of fetch with our boarders as a substitute!

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that require special attention. Unfortunately, I cannot currently host what are known as “bite dogs”, in accordance with my rental agreement. In addition, due to the amount of dogs that come and go from our home, we do not board any animals that are not spayed or neutered as to avoid marking and other behaviors that could potentially damage our rental home.
A typical day
I love to mentally and physically stimulate your pets! We can play fetch and tug-of-war in my backyard, explore the smells in my neighborhood, or go to one of the big parks near my house for some exercise!
