I’ve had the opportunity to have taken care of many different ages and breed of dogs, cats, and pigs. I raised pigs for 9 years and grew up with 5 dogs. By raising pigs and dogs, I have learned so much responsibility and that they aren’t animals you can just feed twice a day, especially dogs. They need to be loved, washed, walked, and many more. Friends, family, and neighbors have relied on me to take care of their pets as if they were my own. And I do just that! I’m currently a full time college student as well as a college athlete. This allows me to plan a little side gig on my crazy schedule. I do not have a fenced in backyard, so I leash my dog when I have to take her out. When I leave her behind in the house, I keep her in her crate with food and water. I will always have a leash on the pet that I am watching when we go outside. I will make sure they can always go to the bathroom and they have access to food and water.
