Tuckered Tails are happy tails!
Pet care experience
We are passionate about the outdoors, adventures and dogs! That is why we started Tuckered Tails Dog Adventures and Pet Care Services. We are a full-service Pet Care business that specializes in off-leash pack "adventure" hikes, walks/check-ins and overnight care. We treat every pet in our care as though they were a member of our family! Whether on one of our adventure hikes or boarding with us for a week, we give each dog the chance to have fun and explore while keeping them safe. We are long time animal lovers with 10+ years of experience caring for our own pets, along with those of friends, family and clients! We also support local pet rescues by volunteering and fostering incoming pups that are looking for a home. We are members of and insured by the Pet Sitters Associates and certified in pet first aid and CPR by PetTech.
Reviews
Abby took such great care of my pup! She was able to accommodate our needs at such late notice, and was flexible with his drop off and pick up times. The best part: she took him on a hike with her two dogs and he came home exhausted! After skiing all day in the cold it was the best treat that I didn't have to tire him out when we got home. We will definitely be bringing Rowan back again. Thanks again Abby!
Abby, Thank you so much for taking Great Care of Kodi. Your kindness and gentle nature was obvious in the photos of him - cuddly and comfy on the couch . I know Kodi apperciated Your Kindred Spirit. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Holiday Season ???
Abby was so great and accommodating watching our pup during our wedding weekend! So thankful to her!! Dany had a great time !
Very pleasant experience and I think Ripley had a great time even though she hates being away from us.

Please note: (1) We can only accept dogs that are known to be excellent with cats and other dogs. (Cats: does not chase, can be in the same room as cat with no concern. Dogs: no issues with sharing space and toys. Excellent at meeting new pups without any signs of dominance etc) We have one cat and 2 dogs in our home and want them to feel comfortable. We have a small home and all the animals will be cohabitating during your pup's stay. Please only request to book with us if your pup fits this criteria. We will have to cancel a booking if we find out later a pup is not good with cats or other dogs. Please contact us if you have any questions, concerns or would like to schedule a meet/greet so we can make sure it's a good fit before your arrival. (2) On most week days we go out for our Adventure Pack Hikes from 11am-2pm. If you are interested in booking an overnight or daycare stay with us please keep in mind that your pup will be left at home during these hours (and only these hours), unless they are great off-leash and there is space to join the pack! Unfortunately, we can not take dogs that need to be on leash on our pack hikes. We can discuss this further during the booking process. Dogs that do not join us on our pack hikes will get the chance to run and play at the large, fenced-in dog park near our house before and/or after their mid-day nap time. (3) we do own and live in a duplex which is on a Main Street. We love it here! But it is not huge and has some limitations when it comes to boarding pups! We are unable to accept pups who are frequent barkers. A bark here and there is totally fine but if it's a favorite pastime it might not be the best fit. Although we are on a Main Street, we do have a fenced back-yard (with a great river view) and never leave the dogs unattended in the back yard. Lastly, because our house is a bit on the small side we usually only take one dog or one family of dogs at a time (which will be in addition to our two dogs).
A typical day
We love to get outside and explore everything the Green Mountain State has to offer and we know your dog does too! We specialize in off-leash pack hikes, but also love to go on long walks, go to the dog park or just get active! We are strong believers in creating a great experience for your pet while your away! We like to think staying with us is like a vacation for your pet!
