Pet care experience
I worked in the dog daycare and boarding industry for six years, as well as started my own in-home pet-care company, VT Pawstel, which I ran full-time for three years, after graduating from Utica College with a B.S. in Animal Behavior and Biology. I recently made a shift in my professional career so I could focus on other passions of mine but would still like to use my experience with animals, specifically dogs. When you choose to leave your pet in my care you can feel confident knowing they are with a passionate professional with yours and their best interests in mind.

Abby has now cared for our 2 pups twice this week. She is fantastic. She gives them both love and playtime out of their crates in the middle of the day. Takes them for a walk and gives them something I cannot during my work day. She even brought in my packages! She truly cares for animals and treats our home and pets as her own. I highly recommend Abby.
Abby was awesome! This is the first time we used Rover and I was nervous about using someone without having the recommendation come from a friend or coworker. Abby was very active with our dogs (which they are used to) and kept us up to date with pictures and text updates almost every day we were away. Our house was in the same state that we left it when we returned. We'd definitely use Abby again in the future.
Abby was great with our dogs!! Took them for a walk/play time while we were getting ready for the wedding and then took them back to the hotel and stayed with them. She sent us updates and pictures. This was our first "pet-sitting " experience but was very happy with it. Thanks, Abby!!
Abby was stayed with our dogs over the weekend and we couldn't have been happier. She took them for walks, gave them snuggles and sent lots of pictures. I would trust her with my dogs again in a heartbeat!

I like to know your dogs typical schedule, their preferred activities, and whether they are okay with other dogs and humans. While none of these things will determine whether I watch your pup or not, they will effect how I structure your pups time while I am with them.
A typical day
I will always meet your dog where they are at in order to provide them with the safest and most relaxing experience. If your pup is used to a full, active day, then that's what they'll get. If your pup would prefer to Netflix and chill, then I am more than happy to accommodate.

Availability
I have two dogs of my own so I understand how important making time for your pups is. I make it a point to get my dogs out for at least two walks a day as well as some sort of activity such as a trail run or mountain bike. I have chosen to build my life in such a way that allows me plenty of time to play outside with my dogs and hope you'll allow me to do the same for yours!
