Dogs are great animals that deserve great care, especially when separated from the ones they love. As a dog owner myself, I understand the importance of finding someone who puts as much into taking care of your dog as you would. If your dog expects daily walks, I will make sure he gets them. If he expects socialization with other dogs, I will make sure he gets that. If he just wants scratches behind the ears, I'm happy to provide that too. I am there to take care of your dog so he can enjoy your time away as much as you do. I am a 25 year old California transplant. We currently have one dog, a three and a half year old Siberian Husky named Kobalt, and would love to get another someday soon. I have spent time caring for Kobalt and several other dogs we owned when I was finishing high school and in college, including a golden retriever, a labradoodle, a pit bull mix, and a chocolate lab. I have been able to get to know a variety of dog breeds and how each behaves and interacts with humans differently. Our dog has respiratory allergies that we have had to try a variety of medication to manage. This has given me patience to work with dogs on managing their issues through whatever means available. Our dog does not like all of his medications, but we have worked together to find the way that works for us to get him to take what he needs. I would be happy to learn how you work with your dog to take any medicine he requires and continue your routine while you are away.
