Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Abby and I would love to care for your pet(s)! I have over 12 years of animal care experience, and with this experience I have cared for a variety of animals from dogs and cats to large hoofstock and exotics. I have my Bachelors degree with a double major in Equine Science and Rehabiliation and Pre Veterinary Sciences. I worked at a Veterinary Hospital for 5 years during high school, as a Veterinary Assistant. Working here has given me an extensive amount of knowledge and first hand experience with an array of different animals and different kinds of injuries/illnesses. I also worked at a Zoo for around 1 year which allowed me to gain knowledge working with exotic species. In addition, I worked at a 24/7 Emergency Veterinary Hospital as a Vet Assistant which allowed me to learn emergency treatments and recognize early signs of a possible emergency. I treat every animal as if it were my own and I always put the animals happiness and safety above everything else. I look forward to meeting you and your furry companions!

My dogs were so happy after Abby stayed with them, and were much more relaxed after staying at home with her compared to staying at a kennel!
Abby took great care of all my animals (4 cats and 2 dogs) while we were gone for a week and was very responsive.
Abby is terrific: Smart, reliable, professional, and knowledgeable about many types of animals. Ours were special needs in that they were BUNNIES, and it was so great to learn that Abby is studying to become a vet specializing in exotic animals (like rabbits). When we did the initial meet and greet, the buns were sooo relaxed with her. They're typically a bit skittish around strangers, but they couldn't stop yawning in her presence, lol. She was very loving and attentive, too, and we really appreciated the peace of mind she gave us on our recent trip.
Abby is a responsible, mature individual who has an intense passion for animals, so much that she is pursuing an education in the animal science field. She’d be an asset in the caring of your cherished pet.

Before sitting a pet, I would like to know if he or she has any medical conditions or any significant past injuries or illnesses that could have any effect on their present day life. I also would like to know any preferences the owner and/or the pet has for walking, playing, or feeding.
A typical day
Every dog will only have the best of best times on a stay with me. I can take them on walks wherever the owner finds most comfortable and if the dog is boarding with me, there is a beautiful park only 2 minutes away from my house with dog friendly walking trails and there is also a dog park right at the end of my road. We can play catch, tug of war, practice some tricks for treats, and then get some warm cuddles and scratches.

Pet care fits into my routine because my schedule is pretty flexible. I always make time to put animal care first as achieving great care for these wonderful beings is one of my top priorities!
