Pet care experience
I’ve loved and enjoyed taking care of dogs/cats for as long as I can remember. Knowing my love and attentive care for animals, I’ve been relied upon by friends and family to walk, feed and housesit for their pets. I have experience potty training dogs as well as basic training through positive reinforcement. Also very familiar with feeding and cleaning after cats! It’s important for me to listen to owner’s instructions/concerns to ensure trust and show my commitment to their pets. I’m super excited to meet and look after yours!

Abby was great with taking care of our pup Mercury! We were in town for a wedding and she arrived early. She texted us updates and pics throughout the night and knew Merc was well taken care of. Highly recommend and will definitely rebook if we visit the area in the future!

I unfortunately can’t board pets due to my shared household with an abundance of fur babies at my own home, but the dogs I’ve looked after often have fenced in yards in which I would let them out to potty or play with them every 2-4 hours. I also take them on at least 15 minute walks twice a day (more if needed or no yard to play in) cleaning up where needed. I always make sure to clean up after myself as well as the pet when house sitting and give lots of attention and love to owner’s fur babies.

Let me know how your pet is with strangers and how to approach them when first meeting. I’d also love to know if your dog is food-motivated and how well trained they are (tricks, potty, etc.) If there is anything that you feel is worth knowing about your fur baby, don’t hesitate to fill me in!
A typical day
In the house I will make sure to play with your pet and their favorite toys. I’m also happy to keep up with any basic training to keep your pet mentally stimulated. We can take walks around the neighborhood or hop in my car to go to a nearby dog park or beach!

Availability
I’ve recently left my job to pursue my career in Animal Care so my schedule is very flexible. I am volunteering at a shelter twice a week but am otherwise available. Happy to help out on weekdays and weekends whenever needed!
