Hey! My name is Abby and I currently attend ULM. I am studying pre-nursing and planning on going to nursing school. I've lived in West Monroe my entire life and went to West Monroe High School. I'm extremely active, and athletics have always been a huge part of my life. I've had a passion for animals since I was little, and like any other child I always begged my parents for more animals! My family has always owned dogs and even cats at some point. We have had generations of Labrador Retrievers over the years. I've spent years helping my brother take care of his two well-trained labs while he's been in medical school. I've also taken care of and watched dogs for friends and other people I know. I have a lot of experience house sitting as well for families that go on vacation or business trips. Since I've grown up with dogs my entire life I know how important your pet is to you and your family. Owning a pet takes a lot of time and care, and it has taught me so much about responsibility. I know just how difficult taking care of a pet can be at times when your schedule gets extremely busy. When I was playing travel soccer, we had to go out of town every single weekend and get someone to take care of our pets. I also know that it can cost a fortune to send your pet somewhere when you take a business trip or go on vacation, so we would always get someone to come to our house and take care of our pets while we were gone. For the days that you have to work several hours I know its not ideal for someone to want to leave their pet in a kennel all day long. Animals need all the love they can get! I initially signed up for Rover because I thought it would be a fun and helpful opportunity. I want to help make things easier for you because I know exactly what it takes to have a pet, especially when you have a busy schedule. I don't have a full time job, so I have plenty of time to help you as much as I can. I know I'm just a college student but I can assure you that I have plenty experience taking care of animals, and your pet's safety and needs are extremely important to me. I just hope that I can make things a little bit easier on you, so the only thing you need to worry about is loving your pet instead of stressing about your pet!!
