Pet care experience
I am a friend to animals and have over 10 years of animal caretaking experience. I live in Bloomsburg and have worked in the nonprofit sector for the last five years, including jobs and internships for animal sanctuaries, shelters, and advocacy organizations. I've cared for multiple animals at a time, young and elderly, rescued/adopted, with varying special needs (medications, special feeding schedules, etc.). I am very responsible and love spending time with animals and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their guardians are away. I'm vegan and dedicated to providing the best animal-care experience for everyone involved. I first started animal-sitting in Bloomsburg and then I had really great experiences with Rover when I lived in Boston. I am excited to have time to participate with the Rover community again!

We absolutely loved Abby! She was very professional with us and friendly and fun with our 58 pound pit bull, Ruby. We felt so much more relaxed about our weekend getaway knowing that Abby was staying with Ruby. Abby arrived exactly when she said she would, sent us updates throughout her stay, and left our house perfectly clean. We will absolutely have Abby back over the next time we are in need of a dog sitter. Thank you, Abby!!!
Abby is wonderful. She kept us updated with pictures and texts every time she visited our dog while we were away. It was our first time using Rover and it will definitely not be our last.
I could not be happier with my experience with Abby. Our dog Lucky can be challenging as she has separation anxiety and I am always a nervous wreck when I am out of town and have to leave her with someone. Abby could not have made the visit easier - she texted frequently with updates and pictures and I didn't worry once the whole weekend. She also spent a significant amount of time with Lucky, which is great because she really doesn't like to be alone. In addition, she vacuumed and swept our apartment! Lucky was very happy when we returned home and our apartment was spotless. I will be booking Abby for many more stays and would absolutely recommend her.
Abby has pet sit for my Maltese dog Tally for the last few years. She's passionate about animals and has provided stellar care for Tally (extra walks, administering meds when Tally's needed them, etc., talking her to park without being asked). Tally adores Abby and looks forward to her visits. She sends a ton of photos while you're away and consistently provides reassuring and fun updates. If you're looking for a responsible, often flexible, and enthusiastic pet sitter, Abby is a fantastic option. Her pet sitting prices are also very reasonable for the Boston-area.

A typical day
After discussing (with the owner) the daily routine of the animal in care, I try my best to keep that routine so the dog(s) don't feel any unnecessary stress when their owners leave. I will take the dogs on walks, spend time outside if there is a fenced-in yard, and make sure there are bathroom breaks every 2-4 hours. When we're inside, I'll make sure to give lots of cuddles and vocal recognition to the dog(s) to keep them entertained and loved. I will keep them on the same feeding schedule as detailed by the owner.
